What’s New in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3

A Super-Powered Battle Pass

It’s been a full four years since DC Comics characters last appeared in Fortnite’s battle pass. The previous time was back in Chapter 2 Season 7, which introduced Fortnite’s first and only Superman skin—until now.

Chapter 6 Season 3 shifts the spotlight back to superheroes, bringing two iconic DC characters into the mix: Robin and Superman. When you purchase the battle pass, you’ll immediately unlock Robin, while Superman—modeled after David Corenswet, the new actor taking on the role—is set to be released as a mid-season reward.

However, for the first time, players will have the option to unlock the mid-season skin early. The Battle Bundle, priced at 1800 V-Bucks and including 25 battle pass tiers, will now also grant early access to the new Superman skin.

In addition to the two DC heroes, the battle pass will offer six original Fortnite characters, most of whom are superhero-themed as well. Their names are:

  • Ziggy
  • Synthwave
  • Killswitch
  • Lightrider
  • Morgan Myst

Map Enhancements

Interestingly, all the Star Wars-themed locations at the map’s corners will remain in Season 3. But there are also three fresh areas to explore: Demon’s Domain, where players can face off against a new version of Daigo; Utopia City, a sleek redesign of the former Seaport City; and Supernova Academy, a new go-to destination for those seeking superpowers. This academy features rooms stocked with hero gear, which can either be unlocked by players with the right hero rank or purchased using gold bars.

New NPC bosses

At the start of this season, two NPC bosses will appear on the map. One is the corrupted version of Daigo, located at Demon’s Domain. Taking him down rewards you with a mythic Spire Rifle and the Infernal Defenses medallion, which boosts reload speed and gradually restores part of your shield. The second boss is Kor, a fan-favorite skin from Chapter 2 Season 8. She now controls the loot island, and defeating her gives you a mythic DMR along with the Shrouded Striker Medallion, which grants temporary invisibility during sprint jumps.

New Weapons and  powers

This season’s loadout includes a mix of superpowers, quirky new weapons, and a few returning favorites from Season 2. Interestingly, one of the standout items isn’t a typical gun at all—it’s a dog treat that lets you summon Superman’s loyal companion, Krypto, to fight alongside you.

Become a true Fortnite Hero

In this season’s battle royale matches, your squad’s progress will be based on how well you perform. The better your gameplay, the quicker you’ll climb the superhero ranks. Everyone begins at Rank C, and ranking up grants you a full health refill along with a stash of weapons and gear. Even at C rank, you can find small loot caches scattered across the map and access a treasure room hidden in the basement of the Supernova Academy.

To level up your rank, simply play the game—eliminating enemies, surviving storm circles, offering sprites at shrines, and taking down enemy NPCs will all help. Your team’s rank is shared, and once you reach the top tier, you’ll be awarded all the bonuses you haven’t already unlocked. And speaking of rewards…

Boons and sprites are back

Some familiar mechanics from Seasons 1 and 2 are making a comeback in Season 3: boons and sprites. This time, there will be four entirely new boons, each offering stronger effects as you climb the superhero ranks

Boons and sprites are back fortnite
  • Storm Caller restores your shield while you’re inside the storm, and once you hit S Rank, it also reveals future storm circles.
  • Speed Healer lets you move at full sprint while using healing items, and every heal grants the Slap effect—temporary unlimited sprint.
  • Combat Acrobat automatically reloads part of your active weapon when you perform parkour moves like mantling. At S Rank, it reloads all weapons in your loadout.
  • Heightened Senses highlights enemies who damage you, and at the highest rank, it reduces the delay between these tracking alerts.

Sprites are back too, but all-new versions. The Dash Sprite gives you three quick dashes, similar to the Chapter 5 Hades-style movement, while the Superman Sprite lets you fire laser beams from your eyes to damage enemies. Pretty wild.
