After more than a decade of experience building in Minecraft<\/a>, a professional builder decided to embark on the greatest challenge of their life: building the Backrooms movie in Minecraft<\/strong>. This massive project, which includes a full-scale recreation of the Captain Clark furniture store, every room from the film, and even the terrifying entities, has become one of the most accurate cinematic recreations in Minecraft history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase One: Recreating the Captain Clark Store<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The project began with the construction of the furniture store. Although the exterior seemed simple at first, the real challenges appeared soon after. Constructing the store\u2019s complex double-sword logo was one of the most difficult parts of this phase, taking about 4 hours. By using the \u201cBlock Display\u201d technique for smoothing edges and precise modeling, the builder achieved stunning results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interior of the store had its own unique challenges. Utilizing official resources released by A24, the builder successfully recreated the exact layout of the store. Crafting 8 unique chairs in the center of the store, the sofas, shelves, and even the small television in Clark\u2019s bedroom took about 6 hours. However, the most critical part was the basement\u2014the entrance to the Backrooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After completing the store, it was time for the heart of the project: building the Backrooms movie in Minecraft<\/strong> by recreating all of its rooms. By carefully counting scenes from the film, the builder identified 27 unique rooms, including the smaller spaces seen during Clark and Mary\u2019s chase sequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most creative aspects was utilizing the collision-passing ability of Block Displays. Since a Block Display is treated as an Entity, players can walk through them\u2014a technique used to recreate \u201ctape\u201d scenes and wall-clipping effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
